Description
The hamlet of Chauvet is located at an altitude of 1000 metres , and overlooks the Valley of the Durance, with a view of the Mont Dauphin Citadel and the massif des Ecrins. This charming hamlet, with its two fountains, one with a large basin, the other with a spout in the form of a dragon’s head, is a haven of tranquility.
The Source guest house is a great place to stay. Cathy and Walter welcome you in an old, converted farmhouse. Gather round the open fire in the vaulted dining room and enjoy dinner in a convivial atmosphere. The Source has 5 guest rooms.
In winter there is a free shuttle service to the resort - it takes about 20 minutes. The bus-stops is 50 metres away from the house.
In summer there is a small garden with deck chairs and table where you can relax and recover from your long days-out in the fresh air.
