Biography :
This extraordinary adventure begins in 1987, when Stephane le Baron aka DJ Sleb or Starsysleb is the resident DJ at the biggest clubs on the Côte d’Azur where he mixes with Laurent Garnier on some sets (Factory Club, Iguane Café, Backstage, Jimmy's, …) He then works for some years in television, as a production assistant and casting director for the programme “40° à l’ombre”…
Next come 10 long years in the retail industry for family reasons but his passion for music catches up with him and in 2003 he gives it all up to come full circle.
At the age of 40 and now a father, he decides to devote himself to his passion and makes a comeback under the name of Starsysleb He has the mad idea of showing that the legendary 90’s techno movement from Detroit is still as influential and enthralling as ever.
He becomes artistic director for the Red Unicorn pub and takes part in some Warm’up s for famous DJS like Laurent Wolf, Benedetto & Farina. This draws him closer to young audiences and he does he all can to succeed. His influences : Mad Mike, Davina, Franco Moraghi, Massive Attack, Depeche Mode, Etienne de Crecy, Kenny dope “dope”Gonzales, Little “louie”Vega, Carl Cox and the great Joachim Garraud.... He marks his return in 2009 by writing the album Alter Ego in tribute to his two sons. “Passing on my passion is vital so that I can continue to grow artistically”.
Since then Starsysleb has turned to event organization, architectural lighting and technical solutions for festivals. For the last four years, with his assistants Miss Sam and Lady Val, he has created the lighting sets for the Liszt festival in Provence, sound for artists like the fantastic Michael Lonsdale , VIP evenings at the Pointe Rouge in Marseille and also an unforgettable “mix” with MC Loic on the slopes at Risoul as resident DJ at the Pub La Place in winter 2010. And guess what you lucky devils -Starsysleb is back!
